Description:

1987 Nissan Stanza GXE

1987 Nissan Stanza GXE. It has Nissan’s venerable CA20E 2.0 liter 4 cylinder engine with a 5 speed manual transmission. I bought this car in Nov. 2015 from the original owners (thru an agent). They mostly had it in tow behind their motor home. GXE was the top of the line Stanza and this is the rather interesting mono-chromatic (all white) model they offered. Interior is a medium blue color. I have a clear Georgia title in my name. Emissions are no longer required on this car because of its age. I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere.

This Nissan is in amazing shape. The body has no rust and has what I believe to be a good amount of its original paint (bumper covers have been painted a long time ago). It is also well equipped with AC, power steering, power windows, power locks, cruise, etc. And everything still works! (except windshield washer). Even the driver’s side carpet looks almost new.

It had largely been used to tow behind their motor home, at that time it 153,900 miles. Now 2 ½ years later it has 165, 787 miles. It has a trailer hitch, but it’s just attached to the trunk floor. The factory radio didn’t work when I bought it, so it now has a modern AM/FM/CD radio wired to factory 4 speaker system.

I have an actual Nissan factory shop manual for it. I also have hand-written maintenance notes from the original owner up to 1997. The AC was converted to modern R134A refrigerant in 2001. This Nissan has never failed to start for me, has never quit on me. I have also tried to keep it maintained. Below is a list of what I’ve done in the 2 ½ years I’ve owned it, all parts were new upon installation. I have a changed oil and filter regularly.

2015 – radiator hoses, temperature sender, front struts.

2016 – fuel filter, front brake pads and rotors, clutch and flywheel, fuel pump, rear struts, alignment, rear brake shoes

2017 – wiper blades, spark plugs – plug wire set – distributor car – rotor button (electronic ignition), change transmission fluid, brake master cylinder.

April 2018 – It needed new front tie rod ends, which also meant another alignment. The shop found the tires were dry-rotted, so I bought a set of 80,000 mile tires.

I also have the car for sale locally. Any shipping is the buyers responsibility.
