Garage find MGC with overdrive, this is a special car, a true "survivor". Solid as a rock and unmessed with for 30 years.

Basically a two owner car that went from California to Arizona and back. Was last driven in 1993 and has been sitting in either a carport or garage ever since. Its a totally complete car including the spare, jack, and knockoff wrench. Comes with a factory workshop manual, the original air filter assembly, luggage rack, and the soft top frame/header rail.

Absolutely zero rust or accident damage. All the panels are original, the fit of the doors, bonnet, and boot lid is something special, the type you only find on unrestored cars. The aluminum bonnet doesn't have a single dent and isn't sprung at the hinge points. Original red paint is still visible in the wheelwells and underneath the car. You'd be hard pressed to find a more solid MGC project anywhere. Honestly its probably better than most of the roadworthy ones too.

With a battery connected the engine turns over with the key, transmission goes into all the gears, and it rolls smoothly.

I had visions of waking it up and getting it back on the road as is and enjoying it as a driver with patina, but another car has my attention and I really don't have a good place to store it right now. Only around 2000 MGC roadsters with manual transmissions (and overdrives are even rarer) were ever imported to the American market, its an unusual car that really deserves the right home. I think it would be hard to find a better project MGC out there that doesn't require any welding...

It has a clean Arizona title and is located in Grass Valley, CA 95945. Happy to take more pictures for anyone interested and also more than happy to show the car in person.
