Description:
1973 MG MGB
You are looking at a classic 1973 MGB, last year of the chrome bumpers. In my opinion the last of the cool looking MGB's, after this they started with the plastic bumpers, nowhere near as cool. This particular car is very much ready to enjoy, not like a lot of the other ones you see that have been sitting around not being used. This car is taken care of, reliable and ready to roll. Any used car that I buy I always completely go over the car, which is exactly what I did with this car.New plugs, wires, cap, rotor, new valve cover gasket, brakes, all new belts, changed oil, new gear oil in transmission and rear differential. Car needed rear leaf springs and after doing some research I learned that this is a common issue with these cars. I also learned that buying the cheap replacement leaf springs is not the right thing to do so I purchased the good MG replacement rear leaf springs. This car also has OVERDRIVE!!!!! Very cool feature, manual 4spd transmission but with the flick of a lever she shifts into overdrive, dropping the rpm's down and allowing you to comfortably cruise 80-85 mph down the highway! Have driven this car back and forth to Cape May NJ many times without any issues. Even on the hottest summer day, sitting in traffic the engine stays cool. I am sweating to death but car operates just fine, lol.Everything works too which is pretty cool, all three tiny wipers work, defrost, heat, cd player, radio, Bluetooth, map light, dash lights, turn signals, hazard lights, etc. etc. all working order.I have a top with the car but have never had it on car to be honest, usually just roll with that cockpit cover, thing is awesome. Get where I am going and usually just seal up the cock pit with that cover, also the car is garage kept. Always wanted to put top on just to check it out but never did, guy I got car from gave it to me the way it is and that is how i kept it. Drive her on nice sunny days and keep it in the garage.I also have all the original true knock off spoke wheels, bought a set of the other syle wheels that are on the car with new tires, wanted to get new tubes for the spokes and put them back on the car just never got around to it.Car is in amazing shape but don't get me wrong, she is a 1973 so has her imperfections. In the one picture you can see a small tear in the drivers seat, my finger is pointing to it. Also the dash has a crack in it that you can see in the pictures, the windshield is also cracked, has been that way since I bought car and doesn't bother me a bit. No inspection required in NJ on cars this old so I just keep cruising.Do not miss the chance to own this awesome car, My price is far too low in my opinion, really don't want to sell car at all but my first child is on the way and I could use the money elsewhere. Most of the cars like this I see for sale are for 10-15k so this is a chance to get a great car at a fraction of the value.I reserve the right to end auction at any time as the car is for sale locally as well. Please do not hesitate to text/call me with any questions, I will do my best to answer. (856) 275-6153 Joe. Thank you for looking and happy bidding! You will not be disappointed in this car!*Forgot to mention I apologize for the dirty interior, did not have time to clean interior, needs good vacuum and wipe down but you can clearly see it is in good condition.* Body of car is very solid, not rusted or rotted anywhere really, you can see a small amount over right rear tire in pic but that is it. This is a solid quality vehicle.*Also forgot to mention SS exhaust!!!*Feel free to make offer. You will not be disappointed in this car.
