Offered is a very nice original MGA Roadster for restoration. The car has been sitting inside, off the road, since 1974 when the owner decided to park the car at his relatives house ( with a garage) to restore the car. I obtained this car over fifteen years ago and has been sitting inside since. The car lived in New York City, owned by a medical student who drove the car during his residency. I believe the mileage at 17,132 to be accurate based on the limited driving as well as the components on the car.
*** Please note: The professionally, rebuilt 1500cc engine does NOT come with the car for the final bid.. It will be offed to the buyer for $1,600 ( quite reasonable for a completely rebuilt long block)
*** Please note: The car does not have a Title. NY State is not a title state for pre 1973 Vehicles.The car has been off the road for 44 years and will be sold with a bill of sale
When I purchased the car it was exactly as it is today. The restoration/ dissembling had been started and the engine was partially dissembled. The mechanical components are highly original. The doors have never been removed and have excellent fit and shut. The Original Lucas wiring harness has been nicely preserved, and is still installed in the car as well as other electrics. Some floor board supports will need replacement, but not all and front sides of frame ( pictured) will need attention but not very bad at all. At some point over the years I had the engine completely rebuilt ( again, engine is not included in final bid price). Seat frames pictured behind the car are whats included in sale. Please inquire what parts are and are not included with car
It is a very good car for a straight forward restoration.
