79 Mercury Capri RS (Foxbody) 5.0

1979 Mercury Capri RS

This is a 1979 Mercury Capri RS with original 5.0L engine and 4-speed transmission. The car also has factory sunroof, original AM/FM 8 track with amp, factory AC car has only been titled once. The engine will start and run and transmission engages. The down side is the car has been sitting for some time and is in rough condition.Some of the engine parts have been removed and are in the hatch, all the seats are there but dry rotted, cracked dash pad, bad bearing in steering column, body is pretty solid except some rust on the under side of hatch and floor pan directly under passenger seat for some reason(original body color Red). If you would like a good project and like these fox body Capris this would be a good start or if you just need a parts car (lots of good stuff). I bought this to use the drivetrain on an old truck project but it got side lined and I hate to see this car go to the junkyard.If you have any questions please email me and can also give you my phone # is you need to discuss anything.
