r107 380sl Decades of service records, clean Carfax, Lots of recent maintenance

1981 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class

Selling our 1981 Mercedes 380sl with just over 87k miles. Classic color combo of Signal Red over Palomino, we purchased this car from the family of the original owner a few years ago. Between them and us, this 380sl has been positively babied and is in excellent condition inside and out. Still has the manuals, original radio, first aid kit, and tool kit. Decades of service records and a clean Carfax - not bad for a 40-year-oldvehicle!

The recent mechanical work performed is extensive:

o Lock vacuum system

o New battery (Apr 21)

o Tie rod replaced

o Electronic ignition tuned

o Distributor cap replaced

o Alternator belts replaced

o Front/rear brake pads replaced

o Propeller shaft adjustment

o Center link replaced

o Idler arm replaced

o O2 sensor replaced

o Crankshaft oil seal replaced

o Timing chain adjustment, tensioner rails replaced

o Tune up

o Transmission overhaul

o Valve lifters/ camshaft adjustment

o Engine mounts replaced

o Seat cushions replaced

o Main release top cable replaced

o Climate control servo replaced

o Wheels refinished in 2016

o Exhaust pipe, muffler in 2001

o New top in 2010, rarely used and still ex condition

o New leather interior, carpets, visors, pads in 2010

o Timing chain done while still under warranty

The only blemish is the dime sized rust bubble on the trunk lid. (See video I shot.)
