This is a beautiful looking 1976 Mercedes Benz 450 SEL sedan in Dark Tobacco Brown with 61,486 miles. This is a very presentable example of a classic European sedan, both mechanically and cosmetically. This SEL looks great, runs great, and drives great. It has been very well treated and maintained, and it came from the same owner for the past eleven years who lived in an affluent suburb of Philadelphia.

I didn’t meet the previous owner, but she was no longer able to use this car which is how we came to acquire it. Apparently, this was a rarely driven third vehicle which was always garaged. You are seeing this 450 SEL as we received it. We are not vintage Mercedes experts, but I’ll tell you everything we know about it:

We drove this car 32 miles to our facility without issue. The 4.5L V8 engine runs very well. It starts easily, idles smoothly, and runs very strong without any smoke, noises or other problems. The automatic transmission shifts very nicely. The matching set of tires are showing 95% of their tread, and the brakes are in excellent condition. The oil & filters were replaced last week. This is a fully operational vehicle that is ready to be driven today and I don’t see any reason why this SEL couldn’t be a daily driver.

We checked all of the equipment in this car for proper operation. All of the following power equipment is working: All power windows, door-locks, power sunroof, cruise control, and even the power antenna. The air conditioning is nice and cold, and the original Becker stereo and speakers are working too. All of the gauges and instrumentation are functioning properly.

The exterior of this Mercedes looks terrific. The paint is very glossy over the entire body and not faded anywhere. I believe all of the paint on this car is original and do not see any body or paint repairs. There are minor imperfections that include some stone nicks, a ding & chip on the hood, and a bird crap stain on the fender. Otherwise, there aren't any scratches, dents or body damage. There isn't any body rust and the rocker panels are solid, as are the jambs, door bottoms etc. The undercarriage is also in excellent condition. All of the exterior chrome trim and bumpers are bright and clean without any dents. All of the exterior rubber trim, moldings, lenses, etc, are intact and in excellent condition without any damage. The original color keyed hubcaps are in great condition as well.

The interior is also in excellent condition. All of the seats are clean with minimal wear and one little poke hole in a bottom fold on the driver seat. The rear seat bottom is a little wrinkled but not worn or worn. There aren’t any rips, holes or damage on the seats or carpeting in this Mercedes. The carpeting is fresh and clean throughout this car without any wear marks or damage. The dash pad and panel are totally intact without any cracks or damage. The trunk looks like it was never used and is crisp and clean. There isn't any broken or damaged trim or soiled carpeting in the trunk, and there isn't any rust either. This was a non-smoker owned vehicle and there aren’t any odors inside this car.

We have the clear title in hand which is mileage exempt as with all vehicles over ten years of age. This is a beautiful 450 SEL, that should serve it's owner well.
