Description:

1982 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series

First and foremost, if you are looking for a safe queen original condition 300CD, stop reading now!
This car is not what you're looking for. It's got wear and tear, a couple of rust spots, oil leaks, un-matching paint and possibly other issues that I'm not aware off.
But if you collect vintage Mercedes because you love driving these cars and need a reliable toy that you can tinker once in a while and use as a daily driver, this is the one you want!
Up for sale is this 1982 Mercedes-Benz 300CD Coupe W123 TURBODIESEL 2-Door with 205,000 miles and Euro specifications.
I drove this car in the Carolinas up to 300 miles one way and never had issues, except when pulled over by the highway patrol for missing a tag. Engine runs strong, you can hear the Turbo sound once it reaches ~60 mph, and the transmission shifts smoothly too.
I recently replaced the drive belts, turbo assembly, replaced and reseal oil pan gasket, and had some of the panels painted due to rust. As you can see paint is not matching because of that so it could use a good paint job.
There's still a leak coming from somewhere but very minor and if you've been collecting these diesel Mercedes you know they leak oils. There's also one rust spot under the driver side door and on the passenger side rear lower quarter panel.
Sunroof works, antenna is stuck in the middle but does not affect the radio reception. There's a crack on the front bumper but I will throw in another bumper from my other W123.
Interior is almost flawless with just a couple of tears on the driver side front seat and arm rest (see photo). Dashboard is also almost flawless with ONE tiny crack (about 1 cm) near the back of the instrument cluster.
This is a solid car, you can feel the suspension when driving or even when closing the doors, it's a well built car by German engineers.
Overall a good cruiser for the summer that will appreciate in value.
