Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this very original and complete Lotus Twin Cam just purchased from it's previous Virginia lady owner. Her husband owned the car and sadly passed away during the early 1980's. The car has been dry stored in a barn since that time. It appears to be fairly untouched save for a single respray in it's rare Regency Red.The body on this car is quite nice and near damage-free. The doors amazingly don't exhibit any of the typical sag as most Europas do. They close and fit beautifully to the body. Even the engine hatch lid is very nice. Clearly this car has been off the road for a lot of it's life and shows a very well-preserved fiberglass bodyshell, in all respects. The original front windshield is in great shape. The car still has all of it's original body trim/brightwork.The interior trim on this car appears 100% original including carpets, seats, panels, headliner, dashboard, etc. There is some age showing but some of it is quite savable.The car even still retains it's original steering wheel and shift knob, common items always changed out.The car's underside appears perfectly solid with a great chassis, a vulnerable spot on these cars. The matching numbers engine turns nicely and may even run well with a little bit of work, given the car's history.Overall, a super good original Twin Cam Special in nice colors. This car is the perfect example for easy, straightforward improvement or Concours restoration.
