Description:

1963 Lincoln Continental

This absolutely magnificent original Lincoln Continental convertible came from one of the world’s foremost Lincoln collectors.

He had at least one from every year in his collection… These four door convertibles were produced by Lincoln between 1961 and 1967.

Henry Dutton acquired this particular car from an electrical contractor in the Chicago area who had purchased this car new in 1963. He found it in 1968 in the Chicago Tribune. The original seller explained that he had never driven the car any other time than in the summer… When he had purchased it in 68 it had 30,000 miles… today… some 47 years later it has 49,000 miles.

There has never been another convertible produced with the quality of this ride.

This car was kept in storage except when it was driven on a rare occasion. It has been meticulously maintained and drives incredibly one would expect a 49,000 original mile car to drive.

The paint is mostly original and looks fabulous. However, he lower portion of both sides have been repainted and look fabulous.

The former owner said he had looked at many, any other 1963 Continental convertibles.. but never found one as nice as this one!

This and his Light Blue 1966 were his all time 2 favorite Lincoln Continental convertibles.

Everything works correctly but the clock.

When he bought it in 1968 he drove it 90 mph home to Nebraska without a hitch, nd today you can still cruise down the highway with complete comfort and safety. (but it’s best to obey all the speed laws)

The top works flawlessly and the mechanism is all original.

The leather interior, ike the rest of the car is original and is beautiful.

It has always been kept indoors and meticulously maintained.

There are TWO things one can never duplicate in a vintage car… they are MILEAGE and ORIGINALITY… and this car has them both!
