1979 Lincoln Continental collectors series

This is 1 of 13 made of the 1979 Continental Mark V Collectors Series Triple white with 52,020 miles. The mileage will probably go up slightly as it is shown and driven.

I have owned the car for 20 years and was bought from the original owner with around 45,000 miles. It was bought brand new at key lincoln mercury in New Kensington PA by Dr. Howard Bougher.

Always loved these mark v's but the Collectors series I always felt were Top Tier.

Even though there hasn't been a lot of mileage put on this car since owning it. I have kept up on all maintenance and whatever it needed. The 400 CI engine runs strong. The transmission shifts smoothly. The A/C runs Great and is running on R12 recharged a few years ago. And still cooling strong. And ready for summer.

New Carb installed in November. Not a cheap Chinese POS but a good autoline one from rock auto.

Dual band White wall radial tires with about 200 miles on them

New timing chain with about 2000 miles on it

Dual Exhaust about 1000 miles on them

3 Row Radiator “coolant changed every other year” since my ownership

New brakes pads and all 4 rotors has about 1000 miles on them

Updated to a CD radio with AUX jack but still have the original 8-track radio

there were 6,262 collector series mark v's made
out of the 6,262 there were 2,040 painted white
out of the 2,040 that were painted white 304 had the white leather interior option
per the Marti Report

304 were collectors series with white vinyl tops

30 of them had the 2.75 traction loc rear axel

18 of them had the outside temp guage

13 of them came with the CB radio and this is 1 of 13 made just like this.
