Description:

1979 Lincoln Mark V collector series

Vehicle Details

Up for sale is my 1979 Lincoln Continental Mark collector series.

The car has 45,000 original miles. I bought the car over a year ago from an estate

The owner was an elderly gentleman that got covid, ended up in the hospital on a respirator and never left the hospital

His wife sold their car through the estate .If he wasn't the original owner he was the second owner.. the car was bought brand new and Sarasota Florida..(I believe he bought it new. )

The spare tire has never been on the ground, I have the original umbrella, the original tool kit, and have the original radar detector bought brand new in 1979 that still works.

All the power windows, power locks, power moon roof 8-track player and CB radio all work . The headlights roll over and close with no problem. All the seats, headliner, dash, carpet and Trunk are in excellent shape

Now for the things I know that need attention.

When I first purchased the car the AC blew cold . I started the car once or twice a month just to keep it running for the past year.

I drove it down to a car show a few weeks back and the air conditioning was blowing warm so it must have a leak in the system.( I will add freon ) if there's a leak it's a slow one.

The previous owner evidently thought the sunroof was leaking when it wasn't it was just at the sunroof drain was clogged.

He put a bead of silicone all the way around the roof to keep the water out.

I cleaned the silicone off, opened the sunroof and cleaned the drain.

Reminants of the silicone are visible in the clear coat in places around the sunroof.

It might be possible to wet sand it out but my plans were to spot paint the roof and fender.

The fender has some chips in it.

Th car looks good the way it is but it wouldn't hurt to do a little paint work.

I think the car for the most part is original paint but it has had previous spot work.

The car is in Driver /good condition.

It won't take much $ to get it really nice.
