Up for sale is our 1987 Land Rover 110 Defender County. The car is located in the United States and with an American USA title/documents. Recently inspected by Firestone (see last photo).

We have owned this car just over 10 years and travelled quite a bit with it. It’s been a very reliable vehicle and a joy to own and drive. Great to find a Left hand drive model as this one (same side as USA).

A couple years ago the car received a full makeover with a bare metal repaint in Gray/Blue with an Olde English White roof. The paint suits the Land Rover very well and gets lots of compliments. The body is very solid retaining its original body panels. These were hand built cars made of pressed aluminium panels. There are a few dings here and there, as is very normal for such a rugged car. This is the same as the incredible Defenders that were used in the famous Camel Trophy adventures.

The chassis is extremely solid and no signs of having any rust issues. It was completely stripped and recoated with POR-15 paint. Along with the axles and suspension. New shock absorbers and bushings were recently installed. We upgraded to a heavy duty steel front bumper with integrated winch. Stainless steel tubular side steps or rock sliders and rear bumperettes. Comes on a brand new set of BFGoodrich KO2 All Terrain Tires. Upgraded to Alloy wheels, steel wheels included and rear door mounted spare.

The engine is a newer 300 Tdi Turbo Diesel 4 Cylinder. It has great torque and enough power to cross the Rockies which we had the pleasure of doing 5 years ago. The transmission is a dual range 5 speed manual gearbox with locking center differential. Odometer shows 149,XXX kilometers (~93,000 miles) but true mileage is unknown.

The interior was very well preserved and is original to the car. It’s very rare to see this condition in Defenders. There is comfortable seating for up to 9 passengers, you could even do 11 but the rear jump seats do not have seat belts.

Land Rover Defenders are exceptional cars that have an incredible following. Owning one is more a club membership around the world. They are unique and ready for any adventure and this one is no exception. We would trust taking this one on any overland trip again.
