1988 Jeep Wrangler Base Sport Utility 2-Door
1988 jeep wrangler
This was purchased as a gift for my daughter, I replaced many parts in an effort to avoid possible break downs in the future while she would be driving, it is now time for college and time to sell the fun. A very solid jeep, none of the usual rust on the frame, it does have rust bubbles in a few places on the body, but it is almost 30yrs old. The floor pans are solid and original, rear seat is original with no tears but does show its age of being in the sun, it has a suspension lift (unknown height or manufacturer it was on it when I bought it) it also has a body lift, looks to be 3”. From what I can tell, whoever did the lifts also relocated the engine and drivetrain, which is the correct method to keep stress off the drivetrain.
All fluids have been changed, new plugs, wires, ignition components, it does have power steering.
The heat works great, and the air is great when the top and doors are off!
It has full hard top with full doors, all glass intact, also included is a bikini top with half doors and removable top half doors with zip-outs.
2.5Liter 4 cylinder
209203 miles original engine, original Aisin Warner AX5 transmission, with a rebuild last year.
New clutch with pressure plate, pilot bearing, and throwout bearing.
Jeep has new 33” BF Goodrich all terrain TA’s with around 1000 miles on them, matching spare.
New radiator and hoses, new rotors and pads, new hub assembly on driver side, all other front end parts are good.
New seats with 4-point harness restraints, new battery, new Kenwood cd player with USB and AUX input on front, also has Vertically Driven sound bar mounted overhead on the roll-bar.
We really do not look forward to parting with this jeep, it is in fantastic condition compared to most all other wranglers, even models 10yrs newer, but too many hobbies, projects and bills.
