1989 XJS Jaguar. Please review description in it's entirely as this is a highly modified Jaguar XJS. It has been in my possession for approximately 20 years. It was a daily driver up until a couple of years ago. Absolutely beautiful original black on black Jag, professionally converted to small block Chevrolet 434 engine with Procharger F1R supercharger and performance rebuilt 700R4 via SunCoast Conversion kit. Car has been extensively modified to ensure both performance and reliability. Engine with supercharger has recently been replaced with a stock, normally aspirated 350 of pre 1985 vintage. It runs and starts smoothly with no smoke or leak, and is equipped with a polished Edelbrock performer intake and 750 cfm carb. All the performance parts and modifications made for the 434 and supercharger still remain except the supercharger, 434, and brackets. The 4 inch intercooler remains as does the Aeromotive A1000 fuel pump and twin filters, along with boost referenced Aeromotive fuel regulator with 5/8 supply line and ½ return line. Oversized custom BeCool aluminum radiator and twin thermostatically controlled fans ensure efficient engine cooling. High quality professional repaint 5+ years ago by the body shop that does all the work for the Jaguar dealership in San Jose, Ca. Very small ding in driver's door and slight cracking on rear spoiler, (please see pictures). Additionally there is a crack on the lower front spoiler. Suspension has been upgraded and lowered with performance springs, oversize front and rear sway bars, shocks, and complete rebuild of Posi trac 2.73 diff including rear suspension bushings and shocks. Additionally, newer front calipers and slotted rotors with bearings have been installed along with polyurethane rack bushings. European Cibie single headlights installed adding to the striking cosmetics of this unique XJS. New front glass and rubber replaced as well as front and rear bumpers tucked in for added cosmetics and Euro look.

Fuel tank was removed, modified for high performance fuel delivery, recoated, and re installed.

Tires are mounted on custom chrome wheels that should be re chromed as they are showing some flaking. Bridgestone Potenza S3's, 245/45x18 fronts, and 255/45x18 rears have plenty of tread, but are showing signs of cracking on sidewalls and will need to be replaced before any extended or high speed driving.

Interior is in overall superb condition with no cracks in dash or tears in heated leather seats. Black headliner was added as well as built in Valentine One radar detector. All new burled walnut installed including custom pieces for radio and dash gauges as well as a genuine Nardi wood steering wheel. Carpet is fairly worn however and should be replaced to be brought up to the standard of the rest of the interior. AM/FM/cassette and 10 CD player with upgraded speakers and functional power antenna.

Lights, turn signals, wipers and gauges work as they left the factory, however power mirrors and power door locks will need to be addressed as they are not fully functioning as before.

AC/heat and defrost was fully functional when the supercharged engine was in the car, however they have not been re connected since change over to stock engine and will need some new hoses fabricated as well. The system has been sealed to resist any moisture.

The power steering rack has a very slight leak at the tower and will need to be addressed sometime when it reaches the nuisance category.

I have tried to be as forthcoming as possible on the description of this unique XJS while including any present and future needs. I have owned this car for approximately 20 years and it has been a California car all its life and as such, is totally void of any rust. It has been a labor of love and has brought great joy to me over the years. I am hopeful of finding someone who can appreciate this beautiful and purpose built automobile who will be a good caretaker and will continue to enhance it's beauty and performance in the next phase of its life. It demands a second glance by all who see it and will provide a thumbs up upon every drive for the driver. Regrettably, lifestyle changes require I part with this black beauty.
