Getting rid of my Jags..an 88, an 89 and a 90 -
The 89 is a daily driver 2nd car, will take you anywhere. Typical 89 body rust, but not bad. Trunk floor good . Sunroof. Sits on 4 decent 16" tires and rims off a 94 XJ6 I once had. New Fuel pump.
The 89 was parked due to bad frame rust, and kept for parts as the engine and trans are perfect. Also, if you need a new trunk, I had a ..slip in...nice trunk special made and pop riveted in. Drill out he pop rivets and you have an expensive nice new trunk for a rusted out one.... that slips right in
The 90 Jag has been sitting in the barn for 15 years. Drove it to Mich from Ft Wayne ( ran great ) It had a front shock noise and I put it in barn to fix it...and that week ( I, not the car- me) got hit by a van and was unable to continue..and life moved on., I got a car that did not need work, and never got back to the Jag do to various life and health issues. Some minor ignition electrics salvaged over time, Body good ( White ) and has 72000 miles on it when parked
Now I'm old, overweight, and one hand does not work fully from a double stoke, so working on cars is something that is harder to do. Plus ...sigh...getting in and out of the Jag I do drive gets harder all the time. Which is why I bough an older Town car :-)
