Description:

1959 International Harvester Other

This is a 1959 3 door Travelette. I will start by saying this thing needs everything but if you have any idea what you are looking at you know this thing is beyond rare. I hear varying numbers for how many 3 door travelettes were built but the number is always well under 2000 for all years built. This one is a decent start and has some rare options. It was a delux model and it was a factory v8 with power brakes. It has a 4 speed and for its age minimal rust and no dents I can see in the cab itself. Everything needs work but it is a pretty decent start to the rarest of the rare. It shows some rust behind the cab under where they put the fiberglass cap piece and it shows some rust on both of the passenger door steps. The floorboards are solid for the age and other than those areas all rust appears to be just surface. I don't know what else to say. As far as running gear goes it is all there and will all need to be gone through. Everything needs to be gone through. It is sold as is. This truck I didn't receive with a title. I may be able to come up with a title and vin plate for this year truck but bid as if it has no paper and it is one more thing you will have to deal with. If I am able to come up with a title and vin I will update my ad. No reserve bid it to win it, you may never see another. I took pictures of the rust areas and they are posted. They didn't come out great and for the benefit of everyone's happiness let's all assume they are worse than they look. If you want more pictures email me and I will do my best. The area at the doors is solid except if you know these trucks there is a step up before you reach the cab floor. Both of those steps on the passenger side need repair. The drivers one looks cool and the whole cab floor still seems to have a lot of steel in it and no crunchy rust. They made me put in a mileage number to list this thing and I just pounded in a series of numbers.....I have no idea???
