Up for bid is this classic 1966 GMC Short Bed C10. This cool old truck comes equipped with its factory fleetside bed and a hot rod stance that’s sure to turn heads everywhere you go! When we found this jewel, it had been sitting up since around 2020 but was told it had been driven pretty regularly prior to that. Under the hood, it is equipped with a small block 350 v8, 4 barrel Edelbrock carb, performer intake, headers, and mild cam. The truck has recently had a tune-up with new spark plugs, wires and oil change. When you hit the key she fires right up and sounds great! The truck doesn’t smoke or have any kind of internal noises. It is equipped with TH350 3 spd automatic transmission that shifts out great. It does have a slight fluid leak around pan gasket on transmission. Brakes seem to work great, disc up front, aftermarket power booster and master cylinder. Noticed slight fluid leak on one of the metal lines as well (possibly could use a better flare?) fitting seemed tight. The truck has a great lowered stance and handles awesome with power steering. The tires have good tread but are a little older, they hold air just fine and don’t shake. It has a lot of new suspension parts up front including ball joints, tie rod ends, etc. On the body of the truck the paint job is older and not perfect. It looks good from a distance but it does have its flaws, scratches and dents, overall a great looking driver. There is some rust in the rockers and cab corners but it does come with new rockers that are included in the auction. Overall, this is an awesome project truck for someone to get their hands on! We have driven the truck on a few small trips without any issues but with anything older that has set up a few years, I would recommend trailering until you get all the kinks worked out. Truck will need to be picked up in Bogata Tx no later than 30 days after auction end, anything past that point will be charged $5 a day for storage. Although the truck runs and drives, I would recommend trailering the vehicle back to your location to avoid any inconveniences that could possibly arise from the truck setting up the few years it has. We do have a local transport guy if you happen to need help on getting the truck to your location.
