Description:

1993 Ford F-350 XL

Selling my 1993 Ford F350 cab chassis 4x4. Overall the truck is in excellent condition with no rust and no accidents. This is a Central California pickup so it’s never been assaulted by the weather and salted roads like other areas of this country. It’s a low mileage example with only 114k on the clock. It’s been well kept it entire life and it shows. It’s also in my opinion the best color combination that came on these truck. The paint has a very nice shine to it as well. I had the truck professionally panted in two stage base clear some months back. There was not really any body work to speak of when this was done, and it was exterior only. Door handles, back glass, grill, headlights, windshield trim, locks, window felts, door weatherstripping etc were all removed when paint was done btw. The bottom side of the truck looks extremely nice as well with only a very light patina of surface rust on frame only. I had a new 9.5’ Crownline bed installed after paint. It has the gooseneck of course, and is bolted to the truck not welded using grade 8 hardware. The bed also has full LED lighting.
Mechanically the truck is very sound. It cold starts exactly as it should and fires nicely in cold weather with a full burn cycle on the glow plugs. It has zero blow by as well. Brakes are in excellent condition with 100% on pads up front, and 80% on rear shoes. The truck starts, stop, and operates just like it should. The truck has not been used for any real towing in the past btw. With this new bed it’s the first time it’s ever had a gooseneck hitch on it. I also upgraded the truck with a larger second transmission cooler up front. That’s the real key to keeping any automatic transmission alive. Keep the heat out of it and it will treat you well. The truck was maintained very well since day one. For about the first 25 years of its life it was owned and maintained by the state of California, and not owned privately until after that. Tires have good life left on them with the passenger side duals having the most wear on them at roughly 75% tread with the other four tires at 90-95% tread. All 6 tires are matching Cooper Discovery AT3 tires with no weather checking. The truck is equipped with working air conditioning. It also has a Pioneer AVH-3500NEX fold out pioneer head unit with touch screen. The stereo sounds really nice with upgraded speakers in the factory positions that were professionally installed.
Over all the truck is in excellent driving condition and I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere. The interior is in excellent condition with little wear at all. Headliner is also excellent and no cracks in dash pad. The truck is also a real head turner getting waves and thumbs ups in most places you drive it. It’s also worth mentioning because the truck started life as a cab chassis it’s a factory 4wd dually, not converted. If it’s an obs 4x4 dually with a pickup bed from the factory it’s a conversion truck. Only the cab chassis dually 4x4 came factory as just that. Cab chassis also has a more progressive rear leaf spring stack in the rear vs. the pickups spring stack. Also, this truck can be registered and tagged in California because it’s an F350 with a GVWR under 14,000 lbs unlike the older F450 Superduties and larger trucks older than 2010. It’s also smog check exempt in the state of California being a diesel truck that’s 1997 and older.
I’m easy to deal with, you be as well. I prefer cash if we are doing a deal in person. If you are shipping the truck I will take a wire transfer or cashiers check. I will cooperate with your shipper. Clean clear title in hand in my name with plates, although I’ve got the truck on non operation with the dmv now. So, the tags are not current. If you are flying in to pick up I can pick you up at the airport in San Jose or Monterey. SFO and Oakland are a bit too far away. I’d appreciate paying for the truck within 3 days of consummating a deal. If you need me to hold the truck longer here that’s not an issue at all. Please do not just hit the buy it now. Call me old fashioned, but I’d like to speak on the phone with the person I’m dealing with. Please include your name and phone number with your message through the eBay messaging system for a call or I can send you mine. Thanks!
