Description:

1951 Ford Custom

I have extensive detailed records going back to 2007 for this car, including every oil change, maintenance and service repair. In the last 16 years it has been driven 12,490 miles. I just completed a 170 mile trip with it two weeks ago and it ran flawlessly. I have tried to get it out to run to the grocery store or to work, but it does not get driven and enjoyed as much as it should. It is a very capable vehicle running down the road at 60 mph all day long.
Most of the major mechanical systems on the car have been gone through. The car received a new, totally rebuilt engine (a 1953) due to an oil consumption issue and the new engine has 10,845 miles on it. It was rebuilt to factory specs. At that time it received new exhaust with true duals, and a new clutch and pressure plate. The electrical system was upgraded to 8V for brighter lights and for ease of turning over. It will come with the 8v Charger as well. The brakes and fuel system have been gone through and the vehicle stops very well. The parking brake works and holds the car on an incline as it should. I have installed a battery disconnect for storage.
The car has been totally repainted and though it's very good, it's not perfect. There are a few rock chips and a couple of runs which I will try and show in the photos. The chrome and bright work is in exceptional shape with only the V8 emblems on the sides and the hood ornament showing any signs of pitting.
The interior of the car is all new, replaced with a tan vinyl as well as the trunk. The interior of the vehicle is exceptional. All of the lights work, and even the radio works (but it is AM only). The gauges all work as they should with the exception of the Fuel gauge and the in dash clock. The blower and heater also work on the car.
I have a lot of paperwork and memorabilia which will be included with the car. My wife and I are AACA members and these details were really important to us. I have tried to be thorough and transparent with the vehicle. I am happy to work with the new buyer on shipping but the vehicle is sold as is where is. Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.
Thanks!
