Description:

1985 Ford Bronco II

1985 Ford Bronco II 4 x 4 – 2.8 L V6, Auto with Lift Kit

Lifted with aggressive tires, this Bronco II has an awesome look and stance. It's Rough and Ready. Most everything works on the truck as it should including the 4 wheel drive system. I’ve only driven the Bronco a little bit; it goes down the road good. The body on the truck is awesome. There is only a little surface rust. No rot noted. New LED front lighting lights the way forward nicely.

The tires are almost new. Front brakes look like they have just been done along with new booster and front supply lines. I also noticed a newer starter and recent battery. Interior is in decent shape for the age.

The truck starts, stops and shifts good. That said, this is an almost 40 year old truck that has been driven over 130,300 miles. It doesn’t feel new. These 2.8 Ford Cologne V6 motors have adjustable valve train. There are a couple of lifters that are making noise. I would say it needs to have the valves adjusted for maximum performance. It could also use a new carburetor as it stumbles when the gas is first pressed, (accelerator pump?) This is a common Ford Motorcraft 2150 carb. New2150 carburetors are available on Amazon, Rock Auto and like that for about 150.00. Also, the gas gauge doesn’t work and the Bluetooth radio hasn’t been tested.

Take a look at the walkaround / short drive video.
