Description:

1973 Ford Torino Gran Torino 2 Door Hardtop

1973 Ford Gran Torino for Sale

Original Mileage is 69431

I have a 1973 Ford Gran Torino, 2 - Door Hardtop, with the Halo Vinyl Roof (Vinyl roof was removed, but I have the roof moldings).

It is drivable, runs good, front and rear brakes are new. The body looks very straight.

I have the Marti Auto Works Report

Due to medical issues I cannot complete this car.

351 - 2V Winsor Engine, FMX Automatic Transmission, Air Conditioned (not sure if it works, haven?t checked it out yet), Power Steering, Power Brakes, Tinted Glass.

Was White Exterior Paint, with Beige Interior, but the previous owner started the restoration and half of the body where the Vinyl Roof was, is primer grey. The carburetor had been changed, the front brake calipers, rotors and front brake hoses had been replaced. The carpet had been replaced. This all was done by the previous owner.

Since purchasing the car, I replaced the spark plugs, plug wires, ignition coil, distributor cap, points and condenser. I replaced the fuel filter and added a second inline fuel filter. I replaced the rear brake shoes, rear brake cylinders and had the brake drums turned. I installed the two rear shocks, the front shocks are purchased, but not installed yet. I installed a new fuel tank, fuel sending unit, fuel pump and had the main fuel and brake lines replaced and I have the rest of the brake lines and will go with the car.

Very clean underneath, coated in Ziebart Rust Preventer (very common back then) in its early life. Trunk floor is in very good condition, has some surface rust in a few places, but no holes, no trunk mat. Front grille in very good condition, windows and all glass in very good condition. The door panels, dash pad, instrument cluster and dash are in very good condition, but it is missing the radio. Head liner looks good along with the seats, the front seat has a couple of tares where the stitching was. The frame, floorboards, trunk bottom side are all solid. There was some leakage by the rear window, from where the vinyl top moldings hold down clips were, so there is some water damage to the rear package tray and both sail panels, but I did find a place that sells them. Trust me when I say that I don't want to get rid of this car, I had one in 1973, but after surgery, I can't do the work needed to restore it.

Additional parts I have purchased but have not installed yet.

The two front shocks, heater core, the rest of the brake lines and a lot of smaller parts and decals.
