Description:

1966 Ford Mustang

Everyone knows the first generation of Mustang was built from 1964-1973 and we all know that they made a variety of body styles, engine and transmission options and trim packages ranging from economy 4-cylinder cars all the way up to fire breathing Million dollar muscle cars. They even built a all-wheel drive prototype and also a right hand drive for the Australian market. In-fact, they were so popular that Ford built 1.3 Million Mustangs in just the first two years. So, getting right to the point this is not a Million dollar Mustang or even a $25,000 Mustang but what it is a fantastic entry in to the collector car market for about as cheap as you can do right now. The car comes out of really long term ownership of more than thirty years, it had some mediocre rust repair and a re-paint back in 1992 and has been just driven since. The interior appears to be original with nice pony seats. Unfortunately due to some ailing health issues from the consignor we are unable to confirm certain things. I highly believe that the engine has been gone through at some point as the car starts, sounds and runs beautifully with a little extra lope than what a "C" Code car originally sounded like. Furthermore this Mustang does not leak or smoke hardly anything. The cars suspension and brakes are wonderful and in all honesty I would not hesitate in getting in this and driving long distance. The A/C system appears to be a dealer installed option on this and is in unknown working order as the drive belts appear to be hooked up. There is some crusty on the underside but as far as anything structural we do not see anything with major concern, especially for the price point. The rear quarters were replaced in 1992 along with the paint. All lights work, glass is in nice shape etc... I think this makes someone a fantastic driver, entry level car or still priced ok to do a restoration if you wish to do. Please inquire with any specific questions.
