VIN # that is on the driver's side inner frame just under the top of the fender reads 2H29S162678. So as far as I can tell Ford only 1568 in 1962. Something else I found is that this car came with a 144ci engine and I think it now has a 200ci, for better or for worse I don't know. The 5th letter in the Vin # is an "S" and that tells me that originally it did have a 144ci. The driver's side floorboards have been fixed with fiberglass and a magnet does not stick very well so it would need to be fixed at some point. It feels ok on the top but when I put it on the lift to get pics I discovered this. The right rear frame had some rust and I fixed it with new steel. as for the body and rockers, they look fair but I can't say if they have been repaired over the years. I painted the car but did not get into bodywork. The headliner has a 4-inch rip just above the driver side door and the windshield has a 6 inch crack in the center near the dash.
