Description:

1969 Ford F-100 Custom Cab

"Old Blue" I have enjoyed this truck for several years. It's time to pass it along due to down sizing. The harbor blue paint is beautiful and it's 30+ years old! I purchased this truck about ten years ago. It had already been restored many years prior. The power front disc brakes were not an option in 1969 on F-100 pickups. They installed 1979 twin I-beams with spindles and disc brake assemblies. The master cylinder, brake booster, and proportioning valve is off the same 1979 half ton Ford truck. It is safer and works beautifully, most Ford enthusiasts fail to pick up on the modification. This truck shipped without power steering, but now has correct 1969 steering box, power steering pump and brackets. All brake and steering components were rebuilt. The FE 360 V-8 is still purring along smooth with that unmistakable low speed idle that is music to the gear head's ear. The points and condenser have been replaced with a reliable Pertronix electronic ignition, retaining the original distributor and cap for that OE appearance. The C-6 automatic transmission shifts smoothly and quietly. The Ford 9 inch rear confidently puts the power to the road quietly. This truck draws attention, old timers and kids alike are pulled in because of it's classic good looks and antique charm. I recently had a new windshield installed due to a stone chip that resulted in a crack. The rest of the glass is original and in excellent condition. The seat is original as is most of the interior. The Ford AM-FM radio plays clearly. There are a couple custom touches that the previous owner installed; the Ranger grill badge and the hood ornament are not original to this truck. I think they look cool. I will be sending the original painted to match wheels and tires with hubcaps to whomever buys this vehicle. I have a Marti report that will also be shipped to the new owner. The chrome is perfect and the trim is in good condition. There are a few small bumps and scars so don't think I'm claiming that it's a trailer queen. This truck is joy to drive and I have had many good memories with it. Good luck. Please E-mail me if you have any questions or want other pictures.
