Price: - Item location: Lake Mary, Florida, United States
Description:

1970 Ford Mustang 2 Door Hardtop

It has come to the time where we must part with our absolutely beautiful all stock 1970 Ford Mustang barn find. I call it a barn find since it was a survivor car with very low miles on it and the only thing the previous owner was added a few safety items, aside from that, this is an all original stock Wimbledon White Mustang with factory Ivy vinyl top.Not only was this beauty ordered with factory SelectAire air conditioning, but it still blows ICE cold and has not been converted over to the R134-a freon - meaning that this old girl is blowing the original R-12 freon since at least 1993!!
Here is the list of factory options she came with as per the included Marti Auto Works report - this is a 1 of only 465 built with the rare paint codes and top:

Engine and powertrain:
This Mustang starts right up and drives smoothly down the road with zero issues. The factory brakes work well and stop with ease with the new brake booster. The original steel wheels, white wall tires and factory wheel covers will come with the sale of the vehicle if the new owner has any interest in them - for a much moreaggressivelook,Magnum 500 wheels and dual Flowmaster mufflers were added to give her that mean stance and sound. The stock 302 motor is a powerhouse and hauls down the highway at 80+ with no issues at all - just recently I noticed a small oil drip in the garage but nothing big at all. She steers dead straight and shifts flawlessly. The stock C-4 transmission kicks down when requested by the pedal with no issues and as all stock Mustangs of the era, when you hit that gas pedal she responds with zero bog, just immediate power.

Body:
The body is in absolute amazing shape with not rot at all, the only noticeableflaws are the bubbling at the bottom driver outer door skin and a small amount on the passenger outer door skin. The bottom of the doors, rockers, striker area - all crisp and clean as if they were new. As with any 50 year old survivor, under the beautiful Ivy Green vinyl top shows a few bubblesbeginning but nothing that has ever worried us. The trunk is beautiful throughout as well as the side quarters and package tray. The bumpers are in great shape with a only a ding on the middle of the rear bumper - but nothing that an OEM one for maybe $120 cant make perfect :) - all lights work and blinkers blink and 4 ways do their 4 way thing perfectly. As you can see in the last photos, the underside of the vehicle is dry as a bone with no rust or rot - just the remnantsof 50 year old undercoating.

Interior:
The interior is absolutely perfect in my opinion. All gauges work perfectly, all lights work perfectly. Glove compartment works and is clean. I replaced the garbage 1980s radio with a RetroSound Laguna digital radio that looks just like a classic Ford radio when off but when on it has an AUX input for your iPhone or portable MP3 devices. The horn beeps when needed and the seats are in perfect shape with no rips or tears or stains. All seat belts are present including the rare 3-point front belts that stay hung at the top of the roofline when not in use with the lap belts. All the interior panels are clean and not cracked. Arm rests are in great shape as well as the door handles. All 4 windows roll up and down with complete ease and no resistance at all. The package tray is new and is color coded to match as the original one was only cardboard and none of them have ever survived 50 years of sun. The carpet is perfect and when the windows are up and the AC is blowing cold, the soundproofing really does its job on the highway. The last photo is a picture of me doing 70 down the highway with all gauges where they need to be, she doesn't get hot and she has perfect oil pressure even at higher speeds with the AC blowing!

I absolutely hate that we have to sell her, but a new home office is needed much more than my classic car :(
