Description:

1939 Ford Deluxe Sedan

This 1939 Ford Deluxe Sedan is part upgraded cruiser, part sleeper, and all vintage cool. So take a look at all that makes this classic quite unique. This is one of the most iconic years in Ford designs. The grille has a powerful Art Deco V-shape; the headlights are an instantly recognizable teardrop design; the hump back rear has an aerodynamic curve; and the trim runs like an unbroken line from the tip of the hood all the... way until it follows the curve of the rear fender. These are outstanding cars, and this example looks like a preserved piece of history, right down to the worn-in paint. But as you get closer, you'll see those upgraded 14-inch wheels and realize that this classic tudor sedan has a hint of sporty style. Inside is a classic presentation done with some nice upgrades. After all, the late-model front bucket seats are always a welcomed addition. They have great bolstering, individual fold-down armrests, and even finished in a supple leather (the rear is cloth.) The dash, door panels, and even the steering wheel retain the classic look and feel. But as you notice upgrades like the floor shifter and VDO gauge package, you start to realize there's an upgrade under the hood, too. We love small block Chevy power in a Ford, because it's a great way to get a stout motor that's ready for upgrades. This 307 cubic-inch unit already has a four-barrel carburetor, Weiand intake, Mickey Thompson valve covers, and headers that add power while contributing to the rumble of the dual exhaust. This small block means it was also an easy upgrade to the stout TH350 three-speed automatic transmission. Not only did they upgrade the engine and transmission, but you'll also notice a Mustang II-style independent front suspension. It's a superior package for the road that includes tubular A-arms and front disc brakes. Classic style meets some sleeper performance in one very cool total package. We all love the '39 Ford, so don't let this distinct one slip away. Call today!!!
