He was about my age and (like me) was a absolute Hot Rod / Classic Car fanatic. You see ... he already had purchased a new Corvette LS3 crate engine for a new Land Cruiser project ... and .... was excited to find ours since it was exactly what he was looking for. A few days before he was to arrive at our new"Hot Rod Ranch", he called and offered to sell me one of hisprized possessions ... this1940 Ford Resto-Mod Pickup. He related that he had 49 vehicles at the present time and needed to make a little space. He had owned the '40 Ford for 13 years and represented it to be the best Pickup build he had ever seen.Well ... when it arrived, I was thrilled. Not only did we become immediate"Good Friends"... I was amazed with this beautiful '40 Ford. It was everything he had represented it to be and more. It's builder had to be a"Metal Work Genius"... and ... as you go over it's all steel body (except for the fiberglass running boards) you can't help but be impressed with the craftsmanship that went into this build.
