Description:

1974 Ford F-100 Ranger XLT 4X4

Complete, running and driving, mostly stock and original 1974 Ford F-100 Ranger XLT 4 wheel drive pickup truck which has spent at least the last 17 years in the desert Southwest. 1973-1979 Ford trucks are rapidly increasing in value and It looks like I'm never going to make the time to give this truck the love it deserves. I just want it to go to a good home where someone will take it to the next level.
The body is in decent condition with rust confined to the right rear cab corner, bottom front left door frame and the right front fender. The bed is not original and was long ago painted blue (since faded) to match the cab. Bed trim pieces are included. Front and side glass is good other than 2 rock chips in the windshield. Rear slider has one broken piece. Roof has had 2 antenna holes drilled at some point. Vintage KC driving lights (not currently wired up) are a nice touch.
The interior is largely original and also in decent condition. Floorboards are solid, windows roll up and down properly and steel dash is in good shape with no cutting or butchery. All knobs and buttons are in place and the ashtray is in the glovebox. An aftermarket dashpad cover was installed at some point. It also once had an aftermarket stereo that was removed and the plastic opening covered. Drivers door only opens from the outside. Most gauges work as do the windshieldwipers and front lights.
The running gear is solid and consists of a 360cid V8 from a 1973 Ford truck (new starter, battery and fuel pump), 4 speed manual transmission and 2WD/4WD transfer case running to a Ford 9" diff in the rear and high-pinion Dana 44 diff in the front. The truck starts, runs and drives but needs a carb rebuild and brake work (they can be pumped to build pressure). Steering shaft is loose within steering column (bearings?) but it steers properly. Tires and wheels are old and should be considered rollers. It has an older dual exhaust system with turbo mufflers (one side has a leak near the manifold).

This very cool 1974 Ford F-100 Ranger XLT 4X4 pickup truck is located in the dry, desert community of Washington, Utah(about 125 miles north of Las Vegas). Good luck and good bidding.
