Description:
1968 Ford Mustang GT/CS
This is an original 1968 California Special GT/CS, not a clone. Only 4118 California Specials were manufactured, only in 1968, and only 191 of those included the 3-speed manual transmission. Not many of these are left on the road.BONUS: buyer will also receive a set of four new-in-box 15 x 7 chrome rims with red "GT" emblems and chrome lug nuts.See last photo.
Also included is the Marti report, as well as the original owners manual and original service card from 1968.
Since I've owned the car (12 years), I've done the following to the interior. New seat upholstery, front and back; new carpet throughout; new Mustang logo floormats; new headliner; new seatbelts, including 3-point harnesses in front.
Exterior improvements include new Lucas foglamps with covers; new tires front and back.
Exhaust system improvements include new Tri-Y ceramic headers; all new exhaust including dual tips and Flowmaster mufflers.
Under the hood, I've done the following:- New 4-barrel carbureter.- New manifold.- New oil pump.- New oil pan.- New fuel pump.- New water pump.- New alternator.- Electronic Flame-Thrower distributor and coil kit.- New radiator.- New radiator fan.
Body is in excellent shape, with no dents, dings, or rust visible. Car has been garaged and covered the whole time I've had it, and has never been driven on wet roads. Mileage believed to be original, but I cannot guarantee it as I am not the original owner.
Radio has been replaced with a Custom Autosound radio that looks classic but has up-to-date features including a USB port for your phone or iPod.
Any questions, just ask.
