Description:

1940 Ford Other Coupe

No Reserve Auction!
I will not end the auction early for any reason, unlike most 'no reserve' auctions on Ebay, that are cancelled at the last minute when sellers don't get as much as they hoped. Car is not for sale anywhere else and will sell here with any bid, although fair warning, I expect it to bring quite a bit more than the starting price.
Car was built and used very sparingly, just for local cruises and car shows. Only 155 miles on the engine, trans and rear. The car runs great, is a lot of fun to drive, gets tons of attention and is scary fast! Opening bid is set at $27k, it cost over $20k to build the engine alone! A lot of money in this car, only selling due to house sale and loss of garage space. Car is insured for $50k.
A short video of the car running can be seeing at: https://youtu.be/j8Xb_f073bk

Incredible workmanship with all high dollar parts. This is a one of a kind that you won't find anywhere else or probably ever again.

Thank you for all the offers. As I mentioned, I will not end the auction early, so someone might really get the deal if the year!
To answer some questions, thecar was never raced at the track, so I don't know 1/8 or 1/4 mile times. The fenders are actually painted black, I had them Plasti dipped grey, but it can be easily removed if someone prefers. The car doesn't overheat, idles fine and has great street manners. The underside of he car is as clean as the top. Thanks.
