Description:

1977 Dodge B300 Vancharger 4x4

1977 van 4x4 Dodge B300 (Custom) Pathfinder / Vancharger PROJECT!! 360/727, factory Pathfinder 4X4 conversion NP203 transfer Case, Dana 60 rear, Dana 44 front, looks like a previous owner did a front leaf spring swap.

This is a rebuild project! It is all there and it is a unicorn, well maybe a bruised unicorn!

It was sitting in a yard here in Idaho for a quite few years, last tabs were 2012. I cleaned and de-wasped it and so far I have replaced a few things just to asses it and get it running;

Engine starts, goes into drive and moves forward under its own power, NO REVERSE! The tranny will need rebuilt!!!, brakes stop it when going slow. I fully cleaned the stock 40 gallon plastic gas tank replaced the sending unit with a new one, all tank gaskets and rubber, new fuel filter, new fuel and all the rubber fuel lines, basically a new system from the tank forward!, new fuel pump new voltage reg, coil, plugs cap n rotor and plug wires under the cowl. The motor starts and runs with no serious issues, the carb should be rebuilt, the carb kit for it comes with the van.

The interior is gutted except for the roof one cabinet and a folding rear seat and the roof is bitchin tuck and roll, the cab area looks stockish, and looks like it had AC at one point, has a Chrysler symbol on the dash insert .No brackets, coolers condensers or other ac components on the engine or in the vehicle, just the dash cut out and insert. ALL GLASS INTACT WITH NO CHIPS OR CRACKS!

There is RUST on the drivers side lower left side panel between the wheels, the panel will need replaced and they still sell them, small amount on passenger side rear wheel well lip and a little in the bed please see pictures, THIS IS THE ONLY DEEP RUST, zero frame rust. The rust looks like it was from the conversion water storage tank that was in it at one point or maybe a leaky sink or drain I also heard that the original owner was a carrot farmer and hauled fresh carrots to a farmers market in the 90’s and it may have occurred then, the plastic water tank that was in it from the original conversion came out in pieces, so my bet is that it probably leaked over the years, the rest of the body and frame are rust free and solid, please see pictures or come look for yourself.

It comes with factory Pathfinder Conversion Co. flyer, a fold down rear seat, 8ft whip antenna, extra front bumper with push bars, front and rear door seals (used but in better shape) and old school rubber fender flares (the bolt on rubber kind, see pics) all of which need installed but come with the van.Comes with original Vancharger parts pamphlet with build notes from the van!

I had full intentions of doing all of the work myself but life threw me a curve ball and can no longer work on it, I do not want to see it just sit around and get older, it turns 50 in 3 years. Don’t miss out on this bruised unicorn, give her the life she deserves get this classic back on the road.

For those who know what a Pathfinder van is you can skip the next paragraph, for those of you who do not;

in the 70's Dodge sent out, B300 van’s to the Pathfinder Equipment Company to be lifted and converted to four wheel drive where they were then sent back to a Dodge showroom for sale as a new 4x4 Vancharger.

70’s Dodge vans are highly derisible for hot rod projects when stock, This is also the Custom Trim package and it still has ALL the chrome. When you find a B300 Custom Vancharger you are seriously getting into unicorn territory. These vans are super rare and ultra-desirable, restored you are in the $20k+ range.

Clean and clear title in hand.
