Description:

1967 Dodge Polara

I am parting ways with one of my many toys. We own 30 other cars so don't ask if I want something in trade - I don't.
We bought this very cool patina 1967 Dodge Polara station wagon out of TX where it was being used to tow vintage dragsters ( see pic ) and attend the hot rod show circuits. I needed a fun road trip car that I could take on long trips and not worry about like I would with our restored cars. It has gone on two long road trips with no problems at all. One from Florida to Buffalo NY for chicken wings and a car museum and the other to New Orleans. It drives great on long highway trips.
This is NOT a standard Dodge wagon.
Options as follows -
440 v8 restored by the prior owner - see engine bay pics4 bbl carb - restored and ethanol proof.Automatic transmission restored by prior owner and upgraded for heavy duty towing.Underside of the car is rust free - new looking like it came off the assembly line - see picsFactory A.C. that blows cold even down here in hot tropical South Florida - in fact it kept us cool all summer on road trips. Compressor and hoses less than a year old.3rd row factory seats Brand new interior this yearNew Dual oversized racing exhausts - this car sounds like a ground pounder race carNew upgraded disc brakesNew upgraded suspensionNew upgraded tires - wider in rear Trailer hitch and lights hook up for towing - behind flip up lic. plateNew Power Steering systemNew Power BrakesPower windowsPower rear windowPower seatsNew aluminum rad and cooling system New limited slip rear end.
Probably I forgot something but will add it as I remember.
The car does not leak, drip or smoke. Starts right up ( scares the neighbors ) and runs very well, strong ( loud ) and cruises well on the highway which is why I got it and what I used it for - road trips
Solid rust free underside that has been restored - original body that is not restored - mechanically everything works as of today. The speedo cable is squeaking and bouncing and I have ordered a new one so that will be replaced. I can't think of anything else I would do to the car but everyone is different and has different ideas.
We bought this to go on road trips and that is what we used it for. My wife however hates that it is louder than our other cars and does not particularly like to be the center of attention when we take the old cars ( weird I know ) which is why I am putting it up for sale and we will resort to one of our other cars as a road trip car. Car is currently being driven by my friend who owns the auto upholstery shop that redid the interior of the car so it gets exercise regularly. If you want to see or drive it just let me know.
Car is in Naples Florida - as it is a 56 year old used car it is sold as is, where is, with no warranties.
I have videos of the car but Ebay won't let me attach them, so if interested they can be emailed - just ask
There is a box of new and NOS parts that I have accumulated for the car - door latch, speedo cables, dash switches, window repair kits etc. and some mechanical parts that go with the car. No reason to have them on my shelf if I don't have the car.
