1953 Dodge Power Wagon

1953 Dodge Power Wagon 1 Ton with dual rear wheels.This is a one of a kind Custom built 1953 Dodge Power Wagon w/dual rear wheels. Complete body off restoration with modifications. All parts are NEW, NOS or rebuilt with new parts. All assembly fasteners are new. All steel was media blasted to bare metal. Frame, wheels and misc. parts powder coated. All paint PPG John Deere yellow and black (wet sanded and polished). This is NOT a stock PW, it is capable of running at legal speeds and crawl at 100 to 1. Axles are a dana 80 in the rear (with air bag over loads) and a dana 70 front axle. New Alcan leaf springs (custom spring hangers) (4 wheel discs with hydro boost under the floor & ARB lockers front and rear), 4.88 gears, a NEW Stak 3 speed transfer case(with new center shaft) 1to1 direct, 3.75 low and .068 O.D., NP420 trans (1 3/8 input, 12" clutch) with new Chelsea PTO to run a hydraulic pump for hydraulic motor operated (thru electric hand controls) front mu2 winch & a mu3 winch in the rear that sets under the bed, a custom built 33 gal fuel tank (10 ga steel), gas pedal moved to the floor and clutch and brake pedal shifted over, custom bumpers and brackets in the rear to match the front that are 10" tall (1/4" plate) instead of the stock 8"(10 ga. plate) and a custom built aluminum radiator. This truck will be able to run single or dual wheels in the rear. (changing to extra single wheel rear hubs from dual wheel rear hubs), custom built fenders & running boards widened to cover the tread, power steering and a custom bed made of 10 ga. cold roll steel with 1 1/2" thick oak flooring, and the Engine is a rebuilt 58 392 Hemi from a Chrysler Imperial. There is a new (York 210) engine operated air compressor for on board air to run air tools, rear over load bags and the ARB lockers, with reserve tank and a new 1 wire 60 amp alternator. The object was to keep the truck as stock looking as possible but with functional modern up grades.
