Description:

1977 Dodge Royal Monaco Brougham/Police Package

1977 Dodge Royal Monaco New Jersey State Police Car ReplicaOriginally a civilian Royal Dodge Monaco Brougham (no rust) completely de-trimmed and made into an authentic and highly accurate replica of the standard New Jersey State Police Car for 1977 (please see original departmental photo in gallery).Mechanical condition: Excellent. Over $33,000.00 spent on restoration.
Original 440 C.I. engine with 4 barrel carburetor (I believe it to be a U code). Lean burn system has been removed, and new electronic ignition system installed. Catalytic converter was removed and exhaust system replaced with new system.
Entire file with all receipts and documentation will be provided to the winning bidder.
Completely rebuilt front end, new shocks, new brakes all around, new tires, rebuilt carburetor, new gas tank with auxiliary electric fuel pump, 440 dual snorkel air cleaner, cruise control, A/C redone and converted to R124, AM/FM stereo, completely new white paint including undercarriage and wheels, authentic decals and working emergency equipment ( Authentic GE Mastr Two way low band radio (nonoperative but lights up like it should), Siren Federal PA-170, Red 12X Twinsonic (perfect), NOS period correct 23 Channel CB Radio, authentic Roxter Light, correct VASCAR Unit, Federal SW-70 Switch Box, New Unity Spotlight on driver's side, Certified Speedometer, additional Voltage and Temperature gauges, new authentic black rubber (plastic) mat installed, and interior in very good original condition including seats, headliner and dash. The NJSP did have "high end interiors" on their patrol cars in 1977.
If I have forgotten anything I apologize, but all I can say is that everything works exactly as it should. You can drive this can anywhere but better have a good gas credit car because it only gets 8 to 10 MPG.
It is a great road car. Since the restoration I have driven it to New England and back from Georgia.
Finally it should be noted that the New Jersey State Police may take a very negative and adversarial position to the operation of this car inside the State of New Jersey. Therefore, I am furnishing the new owner with magnetic plain white vinyl signs to cover the lettering and decals when and if need be.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
Thank you.
