This is an ultra nice, super rare Rust Free Low Mile Black Peal Edition 280Z in superb condition all around!! This original west coast car has been loved and maintained by 2 previous owners and it shows!! 1978 was the first year for a factory black Z car and the black pearl was a limited edition low production number car. This original black pearl Z car is completely unmolested retaining its original splash guards, exhaust shields, uncracked dash, working clock, etc etc...!!! It retains its unmodified matching numbers drivetrain with fresh service and tune. Z cars in this condition are extremely hard to find... black pearls, nearly impossible. I am a serious Z collector...This is absolutely an investment grade Z car... would be an awesome weekend cruiser, daily driver, or addition to any collection.
The body is absolutely rust free with no collision damage whatsoever. Older very good driver quality Re-Paint was done over 20 years ago. It presents beautifully with only minor the most minor blemishes... proper Nissan 638 black pearl metallic was used and the finish is excellent. The car did come with the proper black pearl SAP red/silver stripes from the dealer... previous owner preferred the more subtle red pinstripe which is vinyl and can be removed. Frame, floors, and chassis are super solid. Doors close tight and windows work nice. Retains its factory steel wheels and hub caps with fresh tires. Get's tons of looks and compliments everywhere we roll.
The interior is AMAZING... panels, carpet, and seats all look excellent... drivers seat shows the most minor ware... Original dash is UNCRACKED. Gauges, lights, and electronics all work properly including the CLOCK!! Chrome on door cards 100%... Buzzers and idiot lights all function... unused jack and spare... etc etc. Period Cassette deck added and I have an original radio for it.
Original L28 motor starts idles and runs fantastic. The car has full compression and great power... 4-speed Trans shifts smooth and strong through the gears!! Suspension feels tight and provides excellent ride and brakes stop straight and sure. Strong, powerful, and reliable... freshly serviced and tuned... ready to roll.... definite daily driver capable.
Overall this is a really rare Classic Z in great superb all around. I am a Z collector. This one makes a great investment and/or Awesome Weekend Cruiser, daily driver, or whatever you like. Great for any enthusiast, collector, or anyone looking for a cool and unique Vintage sports car at a great price.
