Description:

1966 Chrysler Newport Base Convertible 2-Door

The 2 door Chrysler Newport convertible was built in March of 1966. It is light metallic blue on the outside with light and dark blue freshly re-upholstered bucket seats. The dark blue carpet is new January 2016. The convertible top and boot covering it are also new in January 2016.
Options include AM/FM radio and rebuilt front and rear speakers. The clock has been repaired and keeps accurate time. The door panels are original and in excellent condition for their age. All windows work well.
The trunk liners and mat are new and were replaced in January 2016. The tires are 15" radial white walls with new chrome wheels and spinners. The original 14" wheels and wheel covers are included.
The fuel tank is cleaned and coated. The tank sender is new. The brake pads have been changed and so has the master cylinder.
The car runs and drives great. I would be comfortable driving anywhere in the country.
The engine is 100% rebuilt in 2015 and is a numbers matching 383 4 barrel 330HP V8 with a rebuilt torque flight 3 speed automatic transmission. The rear axle is a limit ship differencial. The engine has high performance Mopar exhaust manifolds, dual exhaust and a new 650 CFM Edelbrock 4 bbl carburetor. The radiator has been re-cored, power steering pump, water pump, hoses, thermostat, alternator were all rebuilt or replaced during the engine overhaul. It is estimated that the car has been driven 4,500 miles since rebuild.
I had originally planned on keeping this car since it is identical to the one I had in high school. I currently own too many Chryslers and am looking to thin the herd. No expense has been spared in the rebuild of mechanicals and interior of this automobile.
