Very sharp 65 C20 small window, California born with original Protect-O-Plate

1965 Chevrolet Other Pickups C20

1965 Chevrolet C20 pickup with original Protect-O-Plate purchased new from Clem Ruh Chevrolet in Canoga Park California in March 1965. This is a 3/4 ton long bedsmall window cab that has been lowered around 2 1/2" and painted in Corvette Millennium Yellow. All moldings have been removed and filled prior to paint including the bed stake pockets with a rear roll pan addedwhich provides a nice smooth look. The bed has show qualityhighly polished and buffed hickory wood with polished stainless strips and fasteners with the inner panels having been coated in yellow Line-X. The drive train still has what appears to be the original hi-torque 283 with a mild cam ceramic coated Hooker Headers Edelbrock Endurashine intake carburetor water pump and fuel pump hi-torque mini-starter polished alternator Taylor racing wires new radiator with electric fans polished stainless overflow coolant tank orange powder coated dress up kit new yellow top Optima battery and more. The transmission is a new dyno tested 700R4 from Phoenix Transmmissions with new cross member and newcustom made one piece drive shaft. The rear gear is 4.57 but with the 700R4 and 20" rims you can cruise at 60 mph with no problem. The cab has Dyno-Mat installed on the floor with new carpet new retractable lap seat belts new fuel tank and sender IDIDIT polished tilt column with billet and leather steering wheel billet dash insert with new white face Auto Meter gauges new LED dome light and courtesy lights under the dash all new American Auto Wire harness from front to back new kick panels with built in speakers new Pioneer stereo system with under seat speakers new front grille speaker new defrost ducts new wiper control arm and wipers new glove box with light and more. Has new windshield and side glass with new door regulators and billet aluminum door and window cranks new front bumper new front grille LED taillights and parking lights custom LED back up lights new Euro style headlights new cab sail trim panels and more. Overall I have over 25K invested and for a 50 year old truck it is very clean and rides very good on the open road you don't see that many C20's like this so it is a bit unique if your looking for something a little different that turns heads everywhere you go.
