[isdntekvideo] Click on the above picture/arrow for a video of this 53 chevy truck driving and running, or follow this youtube linkhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cwP0m4q_EFQI bought this really cool and solid survivor barn find53 chevy 3600 3 quarter ton truck to use for advertising my business. It was from a local farmer and town in Monona Iowa about 20 min away from me in waukon. It was in Monona since new.I bought it, brought it home to Waukon iowa, and got it running and driving and have been using it around my local town for advertising my business and driving it around our farm and to our local trout streams during summer. It was missing the bed as the previous owner took it off 20 years ago and put on a short flat bed. The original flatbed wood was rotted away so I replaced the wood and used it to put stuff on the back and I had High school kids sit on it to use in short parades/pictures..This Chevy truck has a amazing patina and cool survivor look. The truck runs well. I am running it off a aux tank as the original tank is dirty and should be cleaned out or replaced. It does run off the original tank but I saw a lot of dirt in the fuel filter so I always used a aux tank to be safe. The 4 speed manual shift shifts all gears and the 216 engine runs great and starts right up.This is not a restored truck. The tires are older and show weather check. If you took it to the next level I could see replacing them as they are pretty old.It has some play when driving 3 rd and 4 th gear (Watch the video as I have a shot inside driving it). once you get to use to it it is not too bad etc. It is hard to steer at a stand still as there is no power steering, but once you go it gets easier. You can hear it a bit when you turn, it probably needs to be heated up a bit to make it easier. I left the body original with original paint. It is a very solid body overall. I saw some rust on the bottom of the cab corner passenger side. The floors look good. I saw some rust starting on the inside part above the windshield. The brakes stop the truck. I usually have to pump them a few times before I use it.The speedo was not working. I bypassed the key to a toggle switch to turn it on and off.The seat is solid but the original upholsteryneeds to be redone, I used a seat cover on it.The glass on the passenger is there and rolls up and down. I saw a crack in the glass, the driver side door glass is missing but the mechanism and glass mount is there. the rear window has a crack in it. I left it as I think it adds to the originality and survivor quality. The frame looks good. This truck has a clean title matching the tag.I do not want to overcall it or overcall it. watch the video and check out the pictures and call or message me with questions. While not a restored drive cross country truck, this is definitelysomething you can use right away around locally in my opinion while you take it to whatever level you want.I require a 200 dollar non refundable deposit within 24 hours of auction end. if i do not get the deposit before you come for the car or within the time frame, i will assume you are a dreamer or a scammer and not serious about buying it.I invite you to come check it out in my classic showroom at my dealership teddy's auto sales waukon iowa or hire ebay or a local mechanic to do a private inspection.I can help recommend shippers i have used before who have been very reasonable.I reserve the right to end the listing at any time if someone buys it locally/early etc .Thanks for looking! payment for balance can be done with cash, wire transfer preferred, or mailed bank check.
