Description:

1964 Chevrolet Impala SS 409

1964 Impala SS 409. VIN 41447J127xxx. Western car originally purchased in Tacoma Washington and spent most of its life in Oregon before going to the east coast which would account for it very rust free body.I have some original dealer paperwork plus an old Oregon title. Appears to have originally been factory or dealer undercoated as can be seen in the undercarriage pictures with the only rust underneath being a small spot on a right side support that can be seen in the last picture that isn't a big issue. Chrome trim is in very good with only slight pitting on door handles and outside mirrors.Paint code is 948 which is Palomar Red and interior is Trim code 805 which is Silver. Options include Tinted Windshield, Power glide Transmission, Radio with rear speaker and rear antenna, Padded dash, Posi rear end, Tilt Wheel, Front and rear bumper guards, Seat Belts, Power steering, Power drum brakes, Dual outside mirrors and Fender skirts Body issues include surface rust just below the right rear window as shown in pictures plus some rust above the right rear wheel along with a small dent at the front of the roof above the windshield where something hit it when in storage where it had been for 4 years before I purchased it from a local woman. I was told the the car was repainted 20 plus years ago and does need to be repainted as it does have some paint issues. The original 409 engine was replaced early in its life with an early 1965 JB code engine which is a manual transmission car engine and is quiet and runs good and the power glide transmission also shifts fine. Battery and starter are new but sometimes car clicks like a dead battery and I believe the starter solenoid sticks and is defective. Car is being sold with a reasonable reserve and is for sale locally so could end with a local sale so please bid early if interested.$1000.00 deposit due within 48 hours with the balance due within 7 days unless other arrangements have been made.I do have a clear New Hampshire title in my name Any questions you can call me directly at 603-381-7444. I will help with shipping arrangements as needed.
