Description:

1951 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210

Up for auction is a1951 Chevrolet Styleline Deluxe 2-Door Bel Air Coupe. This is a great runningand driving car and I'm going to try to describe it accurately so you can bidwith confidence. In the paragraphs to follow, I will give a brief descriptionof the exterior, interior, and drive train.

Exterior

We will start byreviewing the exterior of this timeless classic which has vintage charm andstyle. This car is covered in Moonlight Cream and Aspen Green paint which werethe factory colors and was repainted prior to my purchase during its frame-off restoration (approx. 8 years ago). The bodywork and paint always get compliments everywhere it is taken (see pictures). The paint has been well maintained and still shines with a deep luster. All the chrome and stainless are in excellent condition. The glass is believed to be original but looks amazing. To finish off the looks, it is sitting on a set of Coker white wall tires, stock wheels, and wheel covers.

Interior

Inside the car is an immaculate interior with foam rubber cushioned bench seats that are in great condition offering an inviting atmosphere for any cruising trips. The interior followsthe stock two-tone color treatment with green carpet in excellent shape withvery nice door seals and interior lights. The instrument cluster has beenupdated with 2 Haneline 3-in-1 gauges. One gauge displays the speedometer, fuel level, and voltage. The second gauge displays a tachometer, oil pressure, and engine temperature. Further, the speakers and radio have been added to provide a modern sound. Finally, the trunk is exceptionally nice and contains the factory-style rubber mat with a matching Coker spare tire with the original jack.

Drive train

This sporty two-door coupe’s power train has been upgraded with a 250 cubic inch inline 6-cylinderfrom a 1970 Chevelle. This engine provides more torque and power than the stockengine and was completely rebuilt during the time of the frame-off restoration. The Powerglide transmission has been upgraded to a 4-speed automatic overdrivetransmission (Pontiac 200-4R) allowing the car to cruise down the road at modern-dayspeeds with ease.

The car maintains thestock jumbo drum brakes which stops the vehicle easily. All drums are adjusted correctly and the car stops great. To date, the vehicle has a little over 7,700miles on the drive train since the frame-off restoration.

As you have read, everymajor system has been gone over and updated where possible. No shortcuts weretaken! The vehicle runs and looks great! I don’t know of another ’51 Bel Air that is this nice. I have done the best jobpossible to describe this timeless classic to you. I have a clear Missourititle and the vehicle can be seen by appointment.
