Description:

1970 Chevrolet El Camino

This is a NO RESERVE auction. High bidder will buy the car, no excuses. If you are not serious then please do not waste our time or yours.
You are buying a 1970 Chevy El Camino. This is a small block with an automatic transmission. We purchased the car in September of 2013 as a family project car. However, we never got around to doing anything with the car so it has been stored in our business warehouse ever since. It ran and drove when we bought it, but now after sitting it is hard to start on its own. It starts with starting fluid but won't stay running as I am sure the carb is gummed up. Also, you can hear the starter solenoid is going bad. The engine has also apparently been replaced before we purchased the car. As you can see in the last photo, the code stamped on the engine pad is V0317CML, which my research shows is from a 1975 or 1976 chevy 350 but don't quote me on that as it was hard to even find that info online. Air cleaner is missing and we cannot locate it, it is here somewhere, but who knows where after 10 years.
2nd photo is a video showing it crank over and running for several seconds so you can in fact see it runs.

The bed has all new chrome moulding that was put on by us shortly after we bought it, but then we stopped as we were going to get the car painted properly. As a daily driver or weekend truck the paint is fine but if you want a show car, this thing has to be stripped and have some work done. The previous owner just painted it blue over the original white without even fixing any of the blemishes so it is pretty bad up close. Not to mention none of the door jambs, tailgate jamb or under the hood was painted.
The back tires were bad so we just put on brand new tires on the rear. The car has 4 14" cragar's mounted on it. The interior is not too bad, but the seatbelts are brown when they should be black to match rest of interior.
Underneath the car, the exhaust does not go all the way to the rear as you can see. The car has oil buildup all over both pans and the bell housing. Also, noticed a hole in the bell housing. Rear bumper is missing. Front grille is missing. Rear window trim is missing. Front bumper is brand new chrome as well from 2013. Also, brand new fan shroud and chrome radiator support.
Perfect project car we just have too many projects going on right now so this one needs to go for the room. Has a clear California Title and has not been registered since purchased and we will provide a statement of facts showing the car has been stored, so you should not have to pay any penalties. Any questions, please call Brenda at 909 eight41 zero290. Thank you and good luck.
