This SS has a ton of original documentation including the original Protect-o-Plate, broadcast sheet and is equipped with the original matching numbers drivetrain including the JE 396, 350 horsepower big block, the Turbo 400, and original 12 bolt rear end housing.

The entire car was taken down to bare metal back in 2003 and painted 1969 Garnet Red, the paint job has held up great throughout the years as you can see in the pictures. No bondo, no obvious signs of rust, no waves, all the panels appear original along with the floor boards and trunk and are super solid. Definitely one of the nicest bodies I've seen on a Chevelle. Naturally, as it was painted almost 20 years ago it does show some age, some minor chips and scratches, and wear and tear from being older paint and being driven but is still a great 5 footer in my opinion and to most people. In fact, people can't believe the car was painted almost 20 years ago, it still looks that nice. All the doors and trunk/panels line up great and shut flawlessly. Take a glance at the pictures it looks phenomenal and looks even better in person. All of the chrome, stainless, and trim is in excellent shape as well.

The entire interior was redone 1 year ago with almost everything being replaced from NPD, but just to mention a few of the new items include brand new seats front and rear, with new foam, springs, etc. New door panels front and rear, new headliner, new sun visors, new rebuilt original gauges (including the factory tachometer which works excellent), clock is inoperable, new carpet, new sill plates, etc. Aftermarket oil pressure and temp gauge were installed under dash. The interior shows extremely well and is very comfortable.

The engine is the original factory big block 396 JE code matching number verified VIN 344405, 350 horsepower version. It was completely rebuilt to stock specifications from top to bottom, front to back and runs excellent. Exhaust is newly done 3" with flomasters and it sounds very healthy. Car is fully equipped with newly redone power steering, power disc brakes, and all new belts/hoses. Radiator is a custom built aluminum 4 core with dual electric fans on a thermostat so you don't have to worry about overheating even in rush hour traffic.

Transmission is the original Turbo 400 just rebuilt with mild 2800 stall converter and shift kit for the street.

Rear-end is the original 12-bolt recently redone with heavy duty internals, 3:31 Richmond rear gears along with Hotchkis suspension and airbag rear springs along with heavy duty F41 sway bar.

Trunk is super nice, no rust issues, has a full size spare along with the factory jack equipment. The previous owner had a different engine in the car before I got it that ran on methanol and the injection kit is still mounted in the trunk.

All the suspension was just rebuilt in the front end including tie rods, ball joints, bushings, body bushings, front disc brakes, bolts, drilled and slotted rotors, etc. Car rides like a new Cadillac.

New American Racing 17" mag wheels and brand new tires give this Chevelle SS a mean looking stance.

I have the original Protect-o-Plate and broadcast sheet framed as pictured and as mentioned earlier so its ready for you to show off to all your buddies.
