TAKE A 100.00 ONE WAY FLIGHT TRAIN OR BUS AND DRIVE HOME,,, in last 5 plus years i've own car it's been bone reliable,i would not hesitate to drive across country in her..i've taken to charlavoix and traverse as well as detroit and indy at least a dozen times last 5 summers with zero issues...1976 is last year for stingray badging option and first year for aluminum 8"wide light wheel option which makes this a very desirable c3 vin#1Z37L6S421679,all number matching L48 350 auto 373 posi t top stingray in flame red (was originally cream color and got upgraded and flame red in 1982 by original owner after warrantys expired at same time had aci hardbody tail and aci ground effects rockers molded in as well as perf cam hooker headers larger dual exhaust trw rear fiberglass spring installed engine pulled reringed valve job gaskets seals and engine repainted and added reprog kit to trans all at about 54,000 miles according to owner i bought off five and a half years back,i went over with a fine tooth comb and verified everything he claimed all is there right down to dates on body kit and rear spring sticker as well as what appears to be original 1976 front reg license plate that was asigned to car new)this car never had any smog equipment and has the higher octane epa tag that i guess was pretty much a michigan dealer limited thing that some guys like to call a copo corvett, which 1976 stingrays never ha, but would be closest thing to one youll find.anyway,she fries the tires any time you like(those are goodyear eagle gt wides on the ass end for lots of grip not just stock easy slips but still cooks themno sweat) motor is definitely not a typical stock low hp 76 L48, and has plenty of power and attitude but still gets over 20mpg hyw when just cruisin it with foot outa the secondarys on pumop gas.. and has new lifetime brakes and 4 piston calipers /shocks all the way around /battery /starter /alternator as well as half shaft joints,none needed replaced but did as maintainance. always garaged and fiberglass shows no cracking or spider webs even after all these decades since paint but has had some touchups from chips and could use a fresh cut and buff.. gas gauge does not work(which is no biggy fuei fills in center of back deck so can peak and dip a stick to check fuel level)also has a slight header leak ...text only to keep inquirys straight in writing...cash in hand in person only no trades text to three won fiv won nin nin ate won fiv
