1988 Chevrolet Caprice with 9C1 Police Package. This Vehicle is equipped with the 5.7L/350ci V8 engine with Automatic overdrive transmission.Runs & drives fantastic, it idles and shifts,very smooth. Engine is meticulously maintained and serviced. It is a rust free Arizona car! This Caprice started its life as a Sheriff's Patrol unit for the Pima County Sheriff's Department in the city of Tucson Arizona. Vehicle has 225,161 original miles.The engine purrs, The Sheriff's Department has strict maintenance standards that were continued on to its second and third life. The car is in good condition for its age, it is driven daily. It would make a very dependable head turning daily driver or an easy Police car restoration, this is a great example of a true vintage law enforcement vehicle.

Cosmetically the car is not perfect, it needs a paint job, but body is straight with no major damage. Still a great looking car. Glass is all good no cracks,chrome could use a polish to be perfect. Tires hold air and have plenty of tread left but are dry rotted from age. Car is driven daily on local streets but I wouldn't recommend taking it out on the highway with those tires. A/C & heater work great, but there is a vacuum leak that sometimes,causes air to blow through defrost and floor instead of vents. Car is equipped with power windows and manual locks. Passenger front doesn't go up or down. No radio and is missing the am/FM antenna on fender. Has antenna on roof and a hole for light bar cable(plugged). Spotlight on driver side(inoperable). Interior is in poor condition, headliner, visors and c pillars all need reupholster. Original seats were swapped out and I do not have them. Current ones get the job done till original style bench is found. Please view pictures closely, what you see is what you get.
Car has many New parts.Alternator, Battery, Belts, Power steering pump, Hoses, Water pump, Radiator, U joints, A/C components, Starter, Rotors, Brakes, Bearings, Seals, Pitman arm, rebuilt Differential, and much more i cant remember at the moment. All documented maintenance since my ownership. Records available.
Passenger fender replaced due to dent on original, I do not like filler/bondo just straight sheet metal.

I only ask that you not wait until the last day of the auction, and please follow through with your appointment. Your bid is your agreement to purchase the vehicle, not come and look then decide. You have seven or ten days to do that before the end of auction.Please follow the rules of the auction after it is completed, regarding deposit and full payment deadlines. Any one not following through with the auction will be reported to Ebay and appropriate feedback will be left. Be advised, this is a used vehicle, that is over 30 years old and as such, it may develop issues or problems at any moment. It is likely not perfect. I can't guarantee that I described every physical and internal defect or flaw. The vehicle is sold AS‑IS, WHERE IS, with no warranty expressed or implied, this means once your buy it's yours! No Refunds! Any out of state buyer will need to contact their own DMV office for registration and transfer information. There is a clear title on the vehicle. Your will need to purchase a one trip permit her at the Arizona DMV if you wish to drive the vehicle home. I have done my very best to describe the vehicle as honestly as possible. I don t know everything about the vehicles condition and do not claim to. I didn't go over every inch of the car inside and out, but tried to accurately describe the major points. Please e‑mail me any other questions you may have. The vehicle is located in the Phoenix,Arizona. You may fly into Phoenix's commercial airport and I may be able to assist with transportation from the Phoenix Airport to pick up the vehicle. Just ask! The vehicle has been described as accurately as I know of its condition at the time of the auction. I know of no reason why you couldn't drive it anywhere once tires are changed, but of course, I cannot make guarantees. Shipping of the vehicle if desired is strictly the responsibility of the purchaser. I will assist in whatever I can by being present to observe your chosen transportation load the vehicle. The vehicle can be stored free of charge for up to two weeks after full payment has been received. A $20.00 a day storage fee will be charged there after the two free weeks are up, until vehicle is picked up. A non-refundable deposit of $500.00 dollars must be received by me within 24 hours of close of auction via money order or cashiers check sent over overnight express mail. If for some reason this is impossible for you please email me PRIOR to the close of auction and I will be happy to work out other arrangements for you, however the deposit must reach me as soon as possible. After that, the full payment needs to be received within the next five business days of close of auction. In other words, full payment balance after deposit is due 5 business days after the auction ends, and must be paid via cash, cashiers check, or money order. Cash preferred! Vehicle & title will not be released until cashiers check clears (3-5 business days) due to Nigerian counterfeit check scam.
