1968 Chevrolet Camaro RS SS
1968 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS big block 396, auto TH400 transmission, 12-bolt POSI traction rear, power disc brakes, power steering, console shifter, bucket seats with special gauge package, finished inMatador Red with white vinyl top. Norwood, OH assembly line built. The original matching numbers big block 396 engine was recently rebuilt to factory specs, and we spent over $7000 on this fresh engine rebuild, with receipts. The TH400 trans was recently rebuilt as well and shifts perfectly and doesn't leak. I have lots of NOS and restoration parts to complete this restoration, including 2-stage paint & clear. All stainless trim is included. This car never rusted and has super clean original sheet metal. The floor & trunk pans are solid, as is the sub frame. This car has never been in an accident, frame is straight and no bondo or filler in body panels. This Camaro runs and drives really well, however it does need a full restorationinside & out and is the perfect candidate for turning into a beautiful and rare show car.
What makes this Camaro really special is the Rally Sport RS (Z22) and Super Sport SS (L35) packages as well as the matching numbers 396/325hp (L35) big block engine with power disc brakes, power steering and the white vinyl top against the Matador Red really make this Camaro really stand out. I also have a brand new complete Legendary Auto Interior for the car that I would be willing to sell for below cost to the winning bidder. This is your chance own a rare optioned Rally Sport and Super Sport Camaro. I have window sticker and many more photos and a walk-around video with the engine running upon request..
I have received inquiries if the rebuilt engine & trans are installed and the answer is yes. The engine is installed and was broken in, oil and filter were changed and the motor runs phenomenally well. The cars runs and drives extremely well!!!
