1946 Chevy 1/2ton Pickup Truck ~ RUST FREE ~ 98% Original ~ PERFECT PROJECT!
A USA made "46. The coil springs have been replaced with a leaf springs' conversion kit. I eliminated the bunk wiring w/in the dash. Created throttle linkage. A 12 volt alternator has been wired in so you can hear this beauty roarrrrr! It has an original 235 straight 6 engine & running gear. Was told by former owner, that the motor was rebuilt at some point.
Metal is solid. What little rust there was, I've cut out and replaced with more metal. Have painstakingly (with more elbow grease than sense) removed allll the old layers of paint: gold, red, blue, yellow, green and black. My body work ain't the best. Removed old bondo. Replaced with new, minimal bondo to smooth out a few dents & patches. Fenders ain't perfect.
Needs: seat, door handles, regulators improved, brake work, passenger headlight, headlights wired & fuel pump. There is a pin hole w/in original gas tank but this will go with it. "46 trim package has lots of stock chrome; all that we have, is bolted to the truck or included pictured w/in the bed. All the gears work. All original glass.
Great solid ol' truck that is a blank canvas in fresh primer awaiting your top coat of choice. Fun investment requiring little money & effort before your cruisin' with a perma grin down the road.Too many projects, too little space left w/in shop.
Clean title. Sold as is, where it is. A $500 non-refundable deposit is due within 24hrs of auctions' end.
