Description:

1975 Chevrolet Other Pickups Base

The little Chevy LUV is about as simple a truck as there is. For those not up on the history, starting in 1972 Chevrolet took the Isuzu Faster and put Chevy badges on it and sold it in the US. This is a 1975 model. It's a good candidate for total restoration, as I've been fixing it up a little here and there I've been driving it more since it's just so much fun to run around town in.
I bought it in need of a serious cleaning and some minor mechanical stuff. I pulled out the interior, sprayed the floor and installed some carpet that was supposed to be custom fit but not quite. It's not glued down since I'm on the fence about it vs. a rubber mat but those are hard to find. Seat has been professionally recovered. I put on a really nice dash cover that was expensive but they say it won't warp or crack. It looks great.
Ignition system tuned, new points, wires, plugs. I have a full new distributor not installed yet that should let it breathe a little better when I get it in there. All the lights work, the dash is a little dim. I added a tachometer. I found some stock hubcaps that look great on it. All the glass is good. It also comes with a carburetor rebuild kit, unless I get around to rebuilding the original Hitachi 2bbl carb before it sells, then you get a rebuilt carb no extra charge.
There is rust. Surface rust on the bed, see pictures, as well as rust on the floor, also see pictures. The bottom of both doors have rust through spots, nothing very big but lets light through. I have replaced the weatherstripping on the doors but not on the roll down windows yet. The floor pans have some bondo in them. The driver side is a good repair but the passenger side is not as good. Again, see pics.

Be happy to field any questions. I'd love this to go to someone who wants to restore it, I think these are pretty rare now. Thanks for looking.
