1980 Chevrolet C10 short bed original low mileage survivor pick up truck!
As a long time car collector, I've shipped a few of my mainland classics here to my home on the Big Island. I found this all original, very low all original mileage (just 60k miles from new, 28 years ago!) example in Southern California. It had been owned since new by an old man and he really babied this truck---I could tell it was his special ride!
The original seats were protected and covered with plastic seat covers from day one, and the original very cool green pattern (see pics!) is like brand new--amazing!I've had this truck about a year, and during that time I've spent a lot of $$ on more getting it all dialed in. New brakes, clutch, KYB heavy duty shocks, brand new BF Goodrich All Terrain Tires, recent tune service, belts, hoses, etc. Runs as new and I'd not hesitate to drive this truck anywhere, anytime. It hums! With a 6 cylinder three-on-the-tree transmission, it cruises happily at 70-80 mph and takes the mountain hills with ease. No AC but rear sliding windows and vent windows up front--as well as air flow controls on dash---it feels cool as a breeze when driving.
I shipped this truck to Kona just last January, with the intention of keeping it forever. However, a good friend on the mainland offered me his all original 1955 Chevy step side for sale, so I have decided to sell a couple classics to pay and ship that beauty here! The truck is rust-free, but I did repair several very old and small rust areas on the mainland before shipping the truck to Hawaii, just to prevent any issues.
I am into the truck a good deal more than my asking price as I have put effort and money into making the car a great runner, and 1980's Chevy C10 trucks are climbing in value.
