***1949 CHEVY FLEETLINE FASTBACK 2 DOOR SEDAN 1957 235-6 3 ON COLUMN***
***RUNS DRIVES INSPECTED --- SCAT PROCAR SEATS --- NEW BRAKES***

This is a 1949 Chevy Fleetline Fastback 2-door sedan that a buddy asked me to list because he has decided to sell this car and work on other projects. The car starts right up and runs well and it is a driver - I would call this car a running driving project vehicle. The engine is a 1957 Chevy 235-6 with chrome valve cover. It comes with an uninstalled chrome side cover. The engine has a split exhaust manifold going into dual exhaust with two glass pack mufflers. Transmission is a 3-speed on the column manual shift. The car has a State of Virginia inspection sticker valid until the end of August. The owner has replaced these items recently: new shocks, new brake shoes and wheel cylinders, master cylinder, brake lines, fuel lines, brake cables and headlight switch. Tires are a couple of years old but only have about 500 miles on them. The car passed inspection which means all the lights, horn, steering and suspension are in good working order. The body is a light green and has some primer spots where the paint chipped. Rockers on both sides have filler. Owner says the floor braces for front floor are weak and a small patch needs to be made to the floor near the opening for the master cylinder. Stainless trim looks very nice and I didn't spot any dings. Chrome has aged. Grill is straight. Interior is original with the exception of two Scat Procar bucket seats with head rests installed by the previous owner. Headliner and sun visor look original. Under the car the frame looks solid - underside photos are below. Trunk has tire changing tools and a spare. This is a nice old car that is a running, driving project that you can drive and work on to bring it to another level. Email me any question and you can call me to set up a time to view the car: 804-five nine zero-0718.
